The main difference between a virtual event and an in-person event in Colorado is that a virtual event can be completed from anywhere, while an in-person race requires participants to physically be at the event location on the event date. In a virtual event, participants can complete any form of intentional movement, at their own pace and on their own schedule, while an in-person race follows a set course and schedule. Virtual Participants have their event swag and finisher medal mailed to them for an added fee.
Registration for the in-person event is open to all. You can register for the Colorado event on here. Simply select whether you'd like to participate in-person or virtually, the event you want to participate in (2 Mile Walk, 5K, or Relax), fill out the registration form, and submit your information.
All proceeds from the Colorado race for migraine go towards funding migraine research, education, and advocacy efforts. By participating in the race, you are helping to raise awareness of the impact of migraine and supporting the efforts to find better treatments and a cure for this debilitating condition.
All funds raised from the Colorado event are donated to Children's Hospital of Colorado Headache Center and University of Colorado Headache Center's Fellowship programs to support training for providers in the field of headache medicine and to support local migraine & headache disease research right in Colorado . Funds are also used to support Miles for Migraine programming. By participating in the event, you are helping to raise awareness of the impact of migraine and supporting the efforts to find better treatments and a cure for this debilitating disease.
The prizes available for fundraising for the event in Colorado vary depending on the amount raised. You can find more information on our Fundraising page. The more you raise, the more you can earn, including things like a duffel bag, Yeti Rambler, Yeti Hopper or Apple Watch.
Strollers are no problem at our Colorado event. We just ask that whether you are running or walking, you start toward the back of your group to reduce chances of people tripping or trying to get around you. For out and back courses, please be aware of staying to the right side of the path to keep the path open for people coming from the opposite direction.

We love dogs, honest. We do ask that you leave them home for this event though. If everyone brought their dog, it would just be too much for the event and could be overwhelming for attendees. Thank you for understanding.
Yes, please. Anyone who is planning to be at the event needs to register and sign our event waiver for liability and in order to be eligible for a finisher medal.
Anyone can pick up your packet on your behalf.
Three options: 1) Come to packet pick up the day before the event and get your shirt. 2) If you have a friend going to the event, they could pick up your shirt for you at packet pick up the day before the event or at the event. 3) We can ship it to you for an added fee. Just reach out to katie@milesformigraine.org and she'll help you with this.
You will receive an email to claim your selected prizes about 90 days after the event. This gives you a little extra time after the walk/run/relax event to share more with your friends and family about the event and continuing your fundraising efforts. Prizes will then be mailed to you after you complete the form.
